Caja Robotics, a provider of robotic and flexible goods-to-person solutions in fulfillment, has teamed up with Fives Group, an integrator of advanced material handling and smart automation solutions, to address the “challenges” of warehouse automation in the European market.
Both companies say that an exchange of know-how and technological experience, as well as a “deep understanding of customer needs and market goals,” would help them stay at the top of warehouse automation.
Caja Robotics‘ solution is complementary to Fives’ technology portfolio, allowing Fives to expand its piece-picking offering and address the apparel and footwear sectors to help customers meet the challenges of omnichannel automation while providing Caja Robotics with the extra boost needed to tackle the southern European markets where Fives claims to have “leading positions.”
Caja Robotics has made a solution that uses strong robots, well-thought-out picking stations, and powerful software that works with AI to automate warehouse logistics in a way that is flexible and scalable.
The robots move cartons and bins between picking stations and shelves. They are controlled by Caja’s cloud-based advanced fleet management. This makes sure that goods management and the whole warehouse operation are always at their best.
Caja’s cutting-edge warehouse technology is easy to add to existing warehouse structures, can be changed to meet changing needs, and can handle high order volumes during peak times.
The solution is especially good for industries like e-commerce and retail logistics that have a wide range of throughput numbers.
According to Caja Robotics, the collaboration with Fives has “huge potential for synergy effects for both firms.”
“Automated warehouses are a competitive advantage for mastering the challenges of the future,” says Massimiliano Fochetti, global EVP sales, and marketing for Fives’ smart automation solutions division. Our customers think the same way, which is why we want to work with Caja Robotics to develop solutions for their needs ahead of time.
“We are glad to have found a partner in Fives who attaches great importance to further developing our solution with us,” says Ilan Cohen, chairman, and CEO of Caja Robotics. At the same time, we get the benefits of Fives’ sales power. This is critical for our European market expansion. “
Because Fives has a lot of experience and resources in-house, Caja Robotics can make its solution fit the needs of a wide range of customers and industries. This is one of the best things about the partnership.
